I saw somebody comment where they are now pumping them full of hormones making it unnecessary to breed them..... keeping them in milk for their whole life stripping their body of nutrients and any type of decent life these animals could have Now knowing what we know about female hormone therapy can you imagine the cancers and the bullshit that these mares can get producing the milk will get? What the hell is wrong with people if you want Thoroughbred foals let the Thoroughbred mares nurse them otherwise it is nothing but pure agreed to even make a comment like that this is not ethical they need to stop doing this to animals it's not ethical in any way shape or form to pump an animal full of hormones for them to make milk so that they can raise million-dollar fucking race horses horses but I'm sorry that is not fucking ethical no matter how you slice it.... only a greedy bastard would do this to an animal people that do this to animals are pieces of shit they say they want to reduce the population on the planet how about we start with people that do this kind of shit to animals I think that would be a great place to start

I only am impressed by dressage when the horse preforms these moved with no bit or a very light one with barely any aids. It shows the skill level of both rider and horse. If you use pain to get the horse to do things it’s no longer beautiful

I don't think a horse with a nice arched neck in dressage is bad, but super tight reins, hyper flexion, and Rollkur are good at all.

Almost all of these horses are being ridden quite tight on the curb rein which not only puts pressure on the curb grove but on the poll too forcing the horses head down and in. I may not be "dressage savvy" BUT i ride my own cob in a two reined pelham due to his strong pulling at times ( usually out hacling and fast open field work!) and my disability 99% of the time i ride with the curb looser or on the top rein only from which my horse is correctly on the bit but when i need to ride with the curb rein tighter i.e when he is in tank mode! his head is almost flat to his chest like this he does this because of the pressure of the curb and poll pressure. I hate to see these over bent horses and the pressure it is putting on their necks you can see the over developed top line too!

The poll should be the highest point. When the head is so tightly pulled into the chest, the top of his neck becomes the highest point. This is wrong, and brings him behind the vertical. Painful, and bad to watch...so sad.

Rollkur used to be heavily condemned by the hunt and dressage crowd. I don't know why it's accepted now. But remember they are only under saddle for a very short time each day - the rest of the time they an stretch the neck and relax all they want to.

I don't think dressage/bits are wrong but Rollkur is. I ride with a bit but I hate seeing people pull the reins like a morron, Rollkur may not be forbiddden everywhere (part where I live I believe it is) but I sure hope it will be once. Also, I never use spurs.
